From delegating roles and ‘kindly’ directing my two sisters in personal adaptations of my favourite books and films in childhood, it was clear to my family that my passion was firmly embedded in the arts. After dealing with my dramatic personality for years, my parents finally enrolled me in formal speech and drama lessons. I have taken numerous examinations within the LAMDA syllabi and hold the PCertLAM Diploma in Speech and Drama Performance Studies. Through my teaching career with CAST School of Speech and Drama, I have watched my students develop their love and appreciation of the arts, celebrate their personal achievements, and most importantly, watched them grow in confidence and ability over the years. At university, I continued to broaden my own knowledge, focusing on Renaissance Theatre and the history behind the great playwrights, mainly Shakespeare, Marlowe and Webster. I hope to inspire all my students to deepen their understanding of the contemporary contexts of their
acting.
