Page has been fortunate enough to work in the wonderful world of theatre in Hong Kong, South Africa and Los Angeles. After completing her Master’s Degree in Professional Acting, she worked in various facets of the film and tv industries, as well as in the theatre scene in Los Angeles. Favourite roles include Desdemona in Othello, Main in 4.48 Psychosis, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Jess in After the Revolution. Her experience in Theatre in Education began with a travelling production aimed at bringing awareness to various social issues to underprivileged schools. She has since been teaching drama non-stop, specialising particularly in Shakespeare and Elizabethan Theatre. While performing and education has been her main focus, she is also an accomplished director, her biggest achievement being the directing of The Brother / Sister Plays, a trilogy of plays by the Oscar-winning creator of Moonlight, Tarell Alvin McCraney.
Favorite food. – Cinnamon sugar pancakes.
Favorite colour. – Yellow.
Cats, dogs or neither. – Both, and lots of them.
Would you like to go to Space? – Yes. But there is still so much of our own planet that I want to explore first.
Have you ever eaten a raw chili? – Yes.
Do you believe aliens exist? – Little green one-eyed creatures with antennae? No. But I like to think that there are other life forms out there.
Have you ever broken a bone? – Nope, and I hope to keep it that way.
Favorite character played on stage/screen. – Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Character you would like to play on stage/screen. – Elizabeth Swan.
What is your speciality? – Shakespeare, Jeeps and picnics.
Are you good at chess? – No. But don’t expect to beat me in Uno.
Do you now, or have you ever owned/ridden a motorcycle? – No and no thank you.
Favorite place in Hong Kong. – The top of the hill on the Tung Chung road to South Lantau- on one side you have the most amazing view of the Hong Kong International Airport and on the other side, the paradise that is the South China sea and its abundant islands.
Favorite place in your home country. – Sundowners in the veld.
What can you never go without? – Laughter.
What is your special talent? – I can make a pretty mean cup of tea, just the way you like it.
