Hi my name is Lerato Mahlodi Lesego (Sage) Magagane. I am one of those people who has always known exactly what they want to do in life and The Arts has been a key driving force in my journey. After completing my tertiary education in Performing Arts and being cast in shows like: A Chorus Line and Violet, The Musical; my sights were set on The West End. I stumbled upon teaching during the pandemic when I was given a platform to share my knowledge with the youth by working as a performing arts coach. Helping my students, ages 5 – 18, prepare for exams, concerts and showcases was an incredibly fulfilling experience that pushed me in the direction of moulding and honing the skills of our new generation of performers. I intend on being the same positive influence in my students’ lives as my drama teachers have been in mine. Art is key to child development as it is a universal language, a safe and diverse space, perfectly curated by passionate performers like myself, who’s main objective is to educate through thought provoking subject matter and entertain by ripping us from the everyday, mundane human experience and throwing us into the magical wonderland of imagination.
