For some reason, performing always came easy to me. I’d like to think it’s because I was always that kid in school that was first to raise their hand in order read out loud to the class.
But, maybe it’s because my family used to make all the kids sing and dance before getting our Christmas presents. Whatever the reason may be, performance led me to finding a home in Theatre. Theatre made an impact in my life so powerful that I continue to explore and expand my knowledge of its many facets as I have been exercising my passion as an actor, writer, and director. I am fortunate to have studied under some great instructors, and it was through these training intensives I realized that through art, we can positively impact someone else’s life. I like to believe now, as an educator, I am just sharing what I learned and paying it forward. If we as artists can have an effect on an audience, even just a little bit, we are in fact, changing the world.
