Megan van Wyk
Megan graduated from Stageworld Theatre School in Port Elizabeth, South Africa with her ATCL in both Musical Theatre and Speech & Drama.
With a strong love for everything dramatic from Shakespeare to Sondheim, she played in various children’s theatre, dramatic and musical theatre productions during her time in PE before being selected to work with the Ubom! Eastern Cape Drama Co. under the artistic direction of Janet Buckland in 2013.
A versatile and dynamic performer with experience in clowning, improvisation, physical theatre, puppetry, mask work, devising and workshop facilitation, she has played in shows such as Hanamichi, Freckleface Strawberry: The Musical, Simply Broadway, Shrek Jr the Musical and most recently, in a National Children’s Theatre production of Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra.
She is a storyteller at heart and brings with her a quirky sense of humour, curiosity and boundless energy.
When not blinded by the stage lights, Megan loves to go hiking, manage social media pages and write songs on her guitar.
Jan is a native South African theatre maker and dramatist. He has worked extensively in the entertainment industry since 2009 earning him a number of years of hands-on, practical experience ranging from set and lighting design, to acting and producing, but with a significant emphasis on directing and writing. This experience has also placed him at the head of the classroom, training secondary and tertiary level students the fundamentals of theatre. His expertise brought him to stages all across South Africa portraying roles in local and international classics and contemporary pieces. His work has also been awarded a number of times, most recently with the Best Upcoming Talent award for his role in Lungs in 2016 and The Award for Best Debut Production for Sarah in 2017, which Jan wrote. Before leaving for Hong Kong, Jan specialized in the creation of educational theatre aimed at teaching primary school children poetry, prose and communication skills through the medium of theatre. He now calls Hong Kong home and hopes to impart some of his experience to a younger generation of theatre lovers.

The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Examinations have appointed Starlit Voice to be their official representatives in Hong Kong providing support and examinations in the region and as such we provide specially designed courses based on the LAMDA curriculum.
Starlit Voice provides learners with the very best experiences of drama and performing arts education, training and production. We provide Saturday Classes, After School Activities, Private Tuition, Adult and Continuing Education as well as Holiday and Specialised Workshops.

Jonathan is a drama practitioner from the UK; he graduated from the University of Exeter receiving a Drama BA (Hons) and has an extensive range of experience in acting, physical theatre, and psychophysical actor training techniques. Following his study Jonathan has continually assisted with the development of youth talent through Theatre in Education (T.I.E), working with the Deven Youth Theatre Company in schools in the South West, as well as spending a year in an upper school academy assisting students with G.C.S.E drama exam preparation. He further developed his teaching skills during his participation on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme where he taught in eight separate elementary and junior high institutions in Japan, and directed students for the annual National Japan English Speech Competition. Throughout Jonathan’s career he has performed at the Eton Farrer Theatre, the Exeter Northcott Theatre, had numerous writings performed in the Exeter Bike Shed Theatre, and continued to explore the development of experimental interculturally inspired actor training techniques in self directed and produced productions. Prior to joining Starlit Voice Jonathan also worked behind the scenes as an assistant for the art department for various television productions.
Owen is a professional Actor Musician graduating with a BA (Hons) in Actor Musicianship from Rose Bruford College, one of the UK’s leading Drama schools, one of only six with gold status in Teaching Excellence Framework 2017. Since graduating he has worked as an Actor Musician in various professional productions across the UK, credits including, Medea (working alongside Writer and Director Edward Bond), Fables For a Boy, Sleeping Beauty, Britain Limited (Theatre ad-infinitum), Songs for a New World, The Wall (Radio Play), Today, Julius Caesar, Pericles, Elijah’s Violin, The Trial, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Punk Rock. Owen is a Grade 8 instrumentalist with Trumpet as his main instrument. Owen has varied experience in the education sector. He has worked at a specialist SEN school for the severely autistic and other mainstream schools across London. Owen is a fully qualified RYA Dinghy Instructor with over 6 years of experience. More recently he has worked as a Drama Practitioner in Beijing developing new large-scale productions for various local and international schools, including work on a performance for the BRICS conference 2017. His specialities are Music and Physical theatre.
