Gabriel G Torres is a multidisciplinary artist from South America raised in New York City. He is a candidate at The New School for a BA in liberal arts, and a Neighborhood playhouse Theater one year graduate. He recently finished his teaching artist residency at Jamaican Center For The Arts NYC last June. He was the artistic director assistant of the LES Festival for The Arts 2018 at theater for The New City, he has worked as a director in The Tank NYC and as an assistant director at The Flea NYC for their serials series. As a performer in off Broadway theaters such as The Barrow Group, Theater for The New City and The Hudson Guild Theater, also in immersive productions such as The House, bash entertainment and Adonis Memories, In Our Words Theater Co. As a writer he has been published in award wining Eleven and a Half Literacy Magazine, and Ma’Am magazine by Ivory University. Gabriel is interested in the conversations between design and performance, 2D images and the moving body, and how to use them to amplify and discover a more provocative and sensorial experience for the audience.
