CLOSED! WATCH THE SPACE FOR OUR NEW HOLIDAY WORKSHOP
An unforgettable performance education experience!
Offered during the summer holidays, our holiday workshops keep our students engaged and excited in the performing arts, even when school is out! Our selection of long- and short-term workshops are designed around a new theme each summer, and help students maintain their performing arts skills in between school terms. Students return to their drama classes in the new school year with new skills, new friends, and an unforgettable performance education experience!
Holiday workshops are offered to ages four and up, with new programmes and scheduling created each summer.
The theatre is called magical for a reason: as long as your imagination is vivid enough, anything can happen on stage. And what better way to make some theatre magic than with Starlit Voice’s Magical Tales summer programme? Filled with musical fables like Into the Woods and Once Upon a Mattress, as well as exciting tales like The Little Mermaid, the Magical Tales summer programme explores theatre magic in every sense of the word! Not only will students learn to expand their imaginations and become more confident onstage performers; they will also create special memories to treasure forever!
Public speaking gives you jitters? Want to be a more confident presenter? In Communication and Public Speaking, students will learn all the skills needed to become master public-speakers. Over the course of a week, students will learn how to harness body language, facial expression, literary techniques and vocal projection to create persuasive and compelling speeches. Students will also have the opportunity to show-off their newfound communication skills in a showcase at the end of the course.
Step into the spotlight in Acting for the Stage! In this class, students will study character creation and acting techniques, gaining the skills needed to give strong and confident onstage performances. In studying acting, students will also learn how to recognize the value of collaboration, curiosity and empathy. The week-long course will culminate in a showcase, giving students the chance to shine in front of a live audience.
